How much omega-3 from seal oil?

Happy Friday the 13th everyone!

Some people have wondered what a good quantity of seal oil is to consume for various age groups. There was an article published on September 25, 2018 showing the quantities of omega-3 that can be consumed based on age. However, the issue is that there is such a huge range from lowest to highest. For all age groups, they recommend 100mg minimum, up to 3000mg as a maximum for people who are 18+ years of age.

The chart gives the amounts for the combination of DHA, EPA, and DPA. Remember, DPA is rarely found in other fish oils.

Here is the full breakdown:

Unfortunately this is not a very useful chart. A seal oil capsule contains around 99mg of combined Omega-3 in the forms of DHA, EPA, and DPA. Therefore, anyone can consume at least 1 capsule per day. The bottle states people should consume anywhere from 2 to 8 per day. However, even at 8, this does not approach the maximums in this article.

As usual, I am not a scientist or doctor, so I cannot independently verify this information. I hope you found it somewhat useful.
