How Much Omega-3 Do You Need?

So omega-3 is a term that covers various "types" of oils. There are in fact over a dozen different types of omega-3 fatty acids in nature. The most important that are usually mentioned are EPA, DHA, and DPA, all of which is found in seal oil.

So how much do you need? A quick search on google to this questions reveals an answer of 250 to 500mg of combined EPA (Eicosapentaenoic Acid) and DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid). So much how much can you get from seal oil capsules?

Each seal oil capsule contains 34mg of EPA and 45mg of DHA. This means the combined total is 79mg per capsule.

To get the recommended 250 to 500mg, you would have to consume 3-6 capsules per day.

Some researchers recommend consuming even more than this. This goes along with the recommendation made on the bottle to consume 2 pills 2 to 4 times per day. A the low end, one would consume 4 capsules per day and at the high end, they'd take 8 per day.
